WELCOME TO THE MIDLAND COCKER SPANIEL CLUB
The Midland Cocker Spaniel Club was founded in 1923 and is the oldest of the regional breed clubs, only the Parent Club - The Cocker Spaniel Club (1902) has been in existence for longer.
The Midland Cocker Spaniel Club holds two shows per year, these are generally Open shows but each alternate year the Club holds a Championship Show.
Midland Cocker Spaniel shows are open to all Cocker Spaniel owners and exhibitors, whether members or non members. The open shows are held at Shenstone Village Hall near Sutton Coldfield and the Championship shows are held at The Harry Mitchell Leisure Centre in Smethwick, the shows are always popular and friendly affairs and a warm welcome is extended to all.
At the open shows there is a wide variety of classes for all ages and colours of Cocker Spaniels, a 'Puppy Walk' for 4-6 month old puppies usually takes place during the lunch break which gives them a first taste of the show world. The show is a friendly meeting place where all members can enjoy a day out among friends and surrounded by their favourite breed of dog, delicious homemade refreshments are also available.
